“One more question,” I blurted before Bolivar could change the subject. He nodded patiently, and I took a moment to place my words carefully.

“What is the use of the golden object you got from the dragon’s stomach?”

Bolivar’s eyes darkened a little before he gave me a smile. In the same polite tone he said, “You will have to ask Rio about that. I’m afraid I won’t tell the story right.”

He stood and moved to the door. “Now, I must go order my crew to get back to work. Please take your time and rest, Miss Naitlya. It will be a long journey yet,” he turned and said before leaving.

I sat there for a moment in the dim light, not sure what exactly that was supposed to mean. Yet, as I lay down and rubbed my face against the soft fabric, all of that went from my mind. It could all wait until I woke up.
